Welcome on this Poclain-site. Poclain is a family company founded by Georges Bataille in France in the 30s, then developed by his sons Pierre and Claude Bataille, with help from Jacques and Bernard Bataille.Poclain produced excavators, and was leader on the French and world market thanks to a revolutionary hydraulic motor. The Batailles were forced to sell the company to Case in 1974, an American company and the name was changed into Case-Poclain. The famous red and white colors were then changed into yellow ocher. Poclain kept only the Hydraulics division.(Poclain Hydraulics) During the sixties, seventies and eighties the Poclain hydraulic excavator could be found on many yard. Today only old-timers remain.
